Click Below to watch some trailers and read some blurbs about some of the notable new stuff that we recently got in. It's a month of cute-ass movies.
Ponyo!!!! Over the years, I've encountered many people that dismiss the wonderful work of Hayao Miyazaki. They say: "I'm not into that Japanimation stuff" or "I don't like anime" or blah blah blah. And I have this to say to those folks: If you don't enjoy beautiful fantasies, then his work isn't for you. But you poor, sad miserable people don't know what you're missing. JK. But I can't imagine how people couldn't just love his magical movies. And Ponyo is no exception. Come and rent it!!!

The Fantastic Mr. Fox. I like to say I'm not a fan of Wes Anderson, but I think I'm actually full of crap. Because I tend to like his films. Certainly, I like some more than others, and I do think he's a bit over-rated. But hell, he was f'n 29 years old when he did Rushmore, and that movie is brilliant. And so is this adaptaion of Ronald Dahl's novel. It's splended, and it certainly has that Wes Anderson-style dialogue. Come and get it!!!

The Princess and the Frog. I haven't watched it, but I probably will. Mostly because it's set in New Orleans, a city which has always had a tiny piece of my heart. Disney Disney Disney. I dunno.

Sherlock Holmes I hope I age as well as Robert Downey Jr. He's so effortlessly cool. This movie is pretty awesome, and comes out next week. I reccomended it. |
