I Luv employee A!EX has a bit to say about the Fulci film CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD. ALEX'S REVIEW OF LUCIO FULCI'S CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD (1980)
This film opens with a priest hanging himself in a church cemetery, so you know shit's gonna be crazy. You've got a reporter, a psychiatrist, his patient, and a psychic all trying to close the gates before the dead rise up and totally annihilate everyone. Fulci's the master of gore, and this movie has soooo much head-squeezing brain-spewing organs-vomiting action...it's been banned all over the place because it's too gnarly (or awesome) for some countries. Head's up: this is part of Fulci's DEATH TRILOGY, with the other two films being The Beyond (also known as Seven Doors of Death) and House By The Cemetery (also known as Zombie Hell House), both of which are FUCKING EXCELLENT. The Beyond has a super great face-melting-by-acid scene, and House By The Cemetery has a radical opening scene (epic gore!) and a gross dead dude covered in maggots totally killing everyone, even children! Like I said, Fulci is the master. Love, Alex. 2-19-2010
