No bones about it. This Italian sexy schoolteacher farce is a stupid,
stupid movie. The working-class Genovese and Milanese audiences this
film and others of its type were aimed at were none too progressive or
literate. But they loved going to the movies. So producers eagerly
turned out dozens of these sexy schoolteacher/policewoman/widow
comedies, all of which starred ludicrously attractive actresses who
weren't all that particular about wearing clothes. The humor is of a
very low type - a fart joke represents the pinnacle of sophistication
in this world. But if you can turn off your mind (we can help you with
this, by the way) and try to enjoy these movies on the level they were
intended, you'll find your mood elevated even as your IQ is plunging.
Starring brunette heartbreaker Lilli Carati as the pulse-quickening
substitute teacher who dramatically lowers truancy rates. When this was
released in the U.S. it tried to ride the coat-tails of the popular
WELCOME BACK KOTTER TV series with the tagline "She's Hotter than
Kotter - and We've Got Her!" (Lars)
Make it a Euro-Sex Double Feature: at 9:45pm we'll be
showing Christina Lindberg in SWINGING COEDS as a benefit for
Sinsations. Get your $2 tickets for that showing here.
